Hi, I have a VPCZ11X9E/B VAIO and I am very happy with it.

It has Win 7 Pro 64 bit.

In the past, I inserted a SIM card and 3G modem Qualcomm Gobi 2000 worked well. I could connect simply clicking on the network icon in systray and choosing "mobile broadband connection", modifying APN and inserting correct PIN.

Recently however I can't see "mobile broadband connection" anymore listed in networks and, yes, wireless is turned on in Smart Network and SIM is inserted and active.
Browsing "Network connections" I can see broadband connection but when I double click it, windows simply open network list upon systray ... but the network isn't there so I can't click "connect".

In the example image below, my mobile connection is missing:

    Any help please ?

    Thanks.

Why dont you use the OneClick Internet application that comes with the Z? For me, mobile internet works only out of that.

Thanks pyr0, using OneClick internet application I noticed that (I don't know why) modem firmware was set to Verizon and it didn't work for my zone.
I changed to "generic" and it works now connecting from windows networks.
It does not work however connecting from OneClick internet (strange uh?)
