    Dear all,

I am using google chrome. While I am in the SPEED mode, and after a while of using chrome, when I try to open IE or FireFox, their windows flicker as they are maximized. I mean they do not maximize smoothly. If I went back to Stamina mode then everything gets back to normal. When I go from that to SPEED again, everything is OK and after a while same story again.
I thought it might be a driver issue ( my driver date is back in 2008) trying to install the latest driver when I am in SPEED mode I get this msg "the nvidia setup could not locate any driver that is compatible with your system hardware"
I use this link to download the driver http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_winvista_win7_186.81_whql.html
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Best regards

    Hi bonbooni,

From what I know, Sony Vaio Zs aren't compatible with the drivers from nvidia (as in, from nvidia's website). Only install video drivers from Sony itself.

Yep. bonbooni, if you want to get the latest Nvidia GPU drivers for the Vaio Z notebook, you will probably have to get those "modified" Nvidia GPU drivers from the following site:

    http://laptopvideo2go.com/

I've not used the modified drivers before & I'm no expert on installing these modified GPU drivers. Therefore, I cannot comment or help much. :( I apologize for that though. However, quite a number of fellow members, who are also Vaio Z notebook owners, have used them. You may want to search for such a thread or maybe some of them could help you out. Good luck. :)
