hi: I have owned a VPCZ1 for about a year, and have had this problem before. Basically, whenever i move any folders or windows/watch movies, the folders distort and give off this kind of fuzzy-like look to the screen. This also happens at times when watching movies and there is a fuzzy distortion that forms in the middle-ish of the screen. Im not sure if this is a gpu problem, I have had multiple times the "your display driver had stopped working and has been recovered" message screen before. Does anyone know how i can fix this distortion?

Hmm, VPCZ1 was released earlier this year (Feb I think)...

But anyway, did you try attaching an external monitor and see if the same issue shows up there? This will possibly distinguish between GPU versus LCD problems. Did you try reinstalling the Nvidia driver?

Does it happen on stamina or speed or both? If stamina only could be the intel display power saving junk (you can disable it).
