    Hi,

I had a VAIO VGN-Z690 with Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bits. I installed the retail version of Windows 7 professional 32 bits. Then, I installed all the drivers offered by Sony through their eSupport web page.

Still, I can't get to funtion this switch which allows me to chang between "stamina" and "speed" mode.

Please help me!! I'm not a big computer genius, so could you please use easy language??

    Thanks!

    Things that affect graphics switching:

    1. BIOS update: flash the latest version R4044M3 http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNZ690&SelectOS=46 Under BIOS

    2. nVidia graphics drivers: funny that I can't see it on the download page for Z690, but you can download it from European site:
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/updates/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-Z3&os=10 look for Windows 7 tab, then nVidia Graphics driver

    3. Setting Utility Series: This that particulary controls the graphics switching. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNZ690&SelectOS=46 under Notebook Control and Utilities.

Please correct me if anyone thinks there's an error to what I've just said.
