    I am getting a refurbished sz480 w/ t7400 2.16 Ghz processor, 2GB ran, 160GB HD, for 1925.50. I added on the 2 years onsite + accidental damage warranty for a grand total of $2200.

A similarly system configured sz480 using sonystyle.com site ran close to $2750. Did i do the right thing? I was told that the refurbished system was a 30-day return and there is nothing wrong with it.

I think that's a great deal, especially considering it was only a 30 day return. You were smart to get the extended warranty, just in case.
