    VAIO update/Windows Update

    I'm using only Windows center update (start>conrol panel) and download only necessary updates, is it right?

    Should i also use VAIO update?

    Either or. You should always use Windows Update. Viao update is optional, but may bring you newer versions of software that came with your computer (bloatware).

    Vaio update doesn't work anymore. You can manually check for vaio updates at http://esupport.sony.com and enter your model no.

    Windows update should also be used.

    by the way - do i need to go to microsoft.com directly to check for updates and other stuff or windows update center is enough?
