I'm considering getting a VAIO FE 890 for my next laptop. I've never owned a VAIO or knew anyone who did and would just like to know other ppl's overall experience with VAIO notebooks. Thanks!

The FE890 is a sweet notebook. However, you might also want to look at the FE880 and FE870. Personally, I prefer the faster 5400rpm hard drive (120GB) on the FE870. Good luck!

As far as individual experiences with VAIOs, you'll find mixed reviews on this board ---- but will also find that Sony rates very high in customer satisfaction in Consumer Reports.

I love my SZ360, and have heard great things about the FE line. I probably would have looked into buying one myself, but was looking for a smaller notebook.
