    VAIO-FZ200 series batter problem

    Hi,

    I am using VAIO FZ200 series and it is 20days old. and i was in problem with my notebook that is

    ------- ERROR CAUTION MESSAGES -----------------

    1.

    "The installed battery may not be properly connected to the computer or may not be compatible with the computer."

    "Click 'OK' to enter Hibernate mode, and remove & re-insert the battery"

    can you please help me to over from this issue and let me know its is OS problem, RegEdit problem or hardware problem. and 'fn' button is also not working after encountered this error.

    by this error i am getting :mad:

    disable the isb utility in startup. go to msconfig and try disabling the ISB utility. hope it works :)

    Weird this only happens with generic (non-sony) batteries. Just uninstall the battery checker (isb utility) program.

    Are you using a Sony battery or replacement. If this is a Sony battery, ignore the other advice you have received in this thread. If this is a Sony battery and you are getting this error then something is wrong. Disabling the utility is just going to get rid of the error and do nothing about the problem.

    Now if this is NOT a Sony battery, you might want to taker their advice. The utility serves two functions. One is to monitor the performance of Sony batteries. The second function is to make life difficult for folks who dare to use non-Sony batteries.
