good day. i have a sony VGN FZ440e lappy and just converted my vista to xp. i made everything work except for the parallel port and hdmi slot (doesnt seem to detect). i know that theres a problem with the hdmi audio output.. i just wanted the picture to show in an LCD tv via hdmi. is there a specific way for or something for this to work? this is out of my league. thanks for the time

The FZ doesn't have a parallel port. Make sure you install video drivers for the HDMI port to work.

    Do this:

    Start > Run
    type: devmgmt.msc
    find DISPLAY ADAPTERS and expand
    right click NVIDIA (video card)
    select PROPERTIES
    select DRIVER tab
make sure the driver date is relatively current (within a year)

thanks for your time man.. here's the thing.. i let my friend borrow my laptop and he claimed that tha hdmi nor the vga port(sorry i called it a parallel port) doesnt work.. i quickly looked for solutions due to me being paranoid (well the way he presented it sure sound like a big problem). once i got a hold of the lappy its just simply by adjusting a few things in the vid control panel. sorry about this. it just so happen i use a modified type of xp where u have to do most of it manually(no auto detect/run thingie etc). didnt expect for him to not know about this. sorry for the trouble and thanks
