Hello all, sorry for a dummy question. I have a Sony Vaio model PCG 461M and the support website gives me the VGN TX2HP/W reference. I have an 80 Go HDD, which I would like to replace for a 320. I did not open the machine yet and I do not know which HDD to buy. I guess it's a 3.5" (not even sure...). What about the interface ? Is it an IDE, an Ultra ATA, maybe a SATA ?
Thank you for your help. I could not find any detailed spec on the Sony website.

It is most likely a 1.8 PATA 50 pin drive but insteading of taking a guess it is better for you to look in your device manager and then run a search on the part number of your HD. You will find that there are no 1.8 PATA 320GB HD's. The most you can get is a 120GB i think but some SSD's might run to 256GB but those are over £400.

Thanks, Rachel. I can't find the part number. Could you please detail how to get it from the device manager ?
I was hoping to find a somewhat standard disk drive, but if it is a 1.8", no other option but to stay with what I have.
Thank you so much ! -
I'm not sure what OS you're using but if it is XP here are some instructions. Just click on the disk drive to show you what drive you have.
