I have a now ageing A517M that uses ATI Mobility Radeon X600 graphics but unfortunately the card is now playing up. I can't find any software issues and suspect it is hardware.

A simple question can I replace it, my suspicion and initial research says no. If it is no, is the laptop essentially scrap?

    Thanks in advance

Mainly WoW and LOTRO but some other more dedicated PC rather than online games.

WOW had a graphics update with wraith of the lich king which might explain poor performance.
Are you seeing artifacts when you play games?
If not try updating your drivers(always a good thing to try first)
