    Hey guys,

I was wondering why this model is so cheap... The closest one to it is the VGN-AR550E, it has RAID 0 + 40gb more and it costs 500 USD more.

    What's the deal?

Also, I was wondering what parts are replaceable from that notebook, Memory, HD?
Does anyone has it? What do you think about it?

    Regards!

i think mainly it has to do with the type of vid card and the chip it has. it's just the "bottom of the line" in the AR series. i have the AR320 and the 520 came out three weeks after i got my 320! i'm still satisfied with my 320. does everything i need it to do and am happy with the performance. main thing i wish i could've done in this is upgrade to 4gb ram but 2gb is the max for the 3xx series.

as far as what can be upgraded, it comes with 2gb ram but can be upgraded to 4gb. hd can easily be replaced as well.

    Hey, and thanks!

Hmm.. Can the HD be replaced for a Dual HD later?

Also, by opening the notebook, could the videocard and CPU be upgraded later? I guess the first one is close to impossible, but I've heard CPUs can be upgraded doing some crazy stuff...

    Could it be possible?

Also, can a Santa Rosa T7100 and a GF 8400M GT be considered "bottom of the line"? I think that's pretty top-notch, or am I mistaken?

hmm, honestly i have no idea. this is my first laptop that i've ever had so i'm a noob. i just know a little about the AR series since i've researched it a little before i bought. i didn't do much research tho. i'm an impulse shopper =).

i'm sure someone will come around and be able to answer your question though.
