I was looking at getting the VGN-AR370 CTO, now it looks like Sony only offers it with dual drives, it is also hard to tell what the difference between the 370 and the 570 is. Does anyone have any information on the difference?

I also cannot tell what the video card is on the 570?

    Thanks

VGN-AR370 CTO is older and more obsolete

370 doesn't have the Santa Rosa Chipset. However, Sony made a fatal mistake in production of the 570. The port-replicator for the docking station was removed completely, with no chance of adding it.

That was a dealbreaker for me. My 370 arrives on Wednesday. :)

The easiest way to see what each offers is esupport.sony.com. Look at the specs of each and compare. Though, like I said, the 570 clearly states in the specifications that it has the port replicator, when in fact it does not.

it's just the new line of the AR's. there was the 1xx and 2xx series mid 2006, then the 3xx series in early 2007, and now it's the 5xx series in mid 2007.

370 specs and 570 specs. when you click on those two links, look under specs and you could either view or download the PDF that has everything spelled out on each model.
