How do I get my VGN-AR630E to export a Blueray movie over HDMI to my LCD HDTV?

For example, if I play "The Departed" which is a VC1 format Blueray, connect the HDMI to the TV, it stops the movie and will not export the image!!! What is the use of a blueray drive if I can't export it to an HD TV??? This seems like a HUGE attempt to misslead the consumer. The laptop is not an HDTV screen, so does this mean I can't display HD? I can't watch HD on the screen since it is only 1600 x 900, and I can't export HD...so why did I pay the $$ for the blueray drive?

Any ideas or info you can point me to?

    Thanks!
    Phil
