    Hi,

Can the Intel T8100 2.1Ghz CPU be upgraded to the T8300 2.4Ghz?

I contacted Sony Support and they said it was integrated, meaning attached solidly, like soldered.

I've read the Dis-assembly instruction that someone kindly posted and I assumed from the instructions that the CPU and Intel 4965AGN could be upgraded fairly easily.

This is what Sony Support said:

Is that just a standard response, or are most of the components soldered onto the m/board?

    Cheerz :) :D ;)

most probably its all soldered off to motherboard but i feel network card should be upgradable and its just 200 mhz we gunning for.

i also considered it for my vaio fz but realised ,
    its not worth effort.
