    Hello.

I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FS315E which has a VGA-out only (no s-video, etc) and I want to connect it to my HDTV that has no VGA port.

The VGA to HDMI converter I am looking to buy only supports either 1600x1200 or 1920x1080.

So I would like to know whether the VGA port on the laptop can support these resolutions or not.

    Many thanks in advance. :)
