Can anyone help me? My charger port has become loose like a babies tooth on my VGN-FW140D. It is located on the hinge of the laptop opposite side to the power button. The laptop is still able to charged, but anybody who knows what it’s like to have O.C.D. you might feel my pain lol. I’m wondering if I should take it into future shop and let them fix it. I don’t know if my warranty will cover this, any help would be appreciated.

What I could recommend is better contact sony support for you're Dj jack that is loose so you'll be assisted on how to send your computer for service. you're warranty is 1yr starting from you're purchased date if you purchased it as brand new not refurb because it has only 90 days of warranty (888-476-6972).

are you sure it's not just wiggly when you wiggle it. Because when i wiggle mine, it wiggles uncontrollably as well. I'd also recommend contacting sony and not futureshop, as sony made it. But, i think if its charging ok, it should be fine.

But if it's loose like for example it wiggles when you touch it.Better contact sony while your still in warranty so they can setup service. what i think futureshop will also advise to call sony.
