    Hi All

Ok - I've upgraded my FW31M to Windows 7 Ultimate. It had to be a clean install for an assortment of reasons, but now I cant play bluray disks.

I have Power DVD 10 and WinDVD (latest) which do play blurays. The Blu ray drive recognises and even starts the disks - but the screen basically kicks in in 16 colour or worse mode. DVD playback is fine.

Sony Support is less than helpfull, basically to paraphrase - 'we dont care and policy is not to support you - restore back to vista home premium'. Not helpfull. I also cant restore back anyway as for various reasons I dont have the recovery disks (sony says 'Sorry - we cant send you restore disks - against policy. You could send the machine back to us. we will wipe everything and then send the machine back - it will take around four weeks' again - not an option).

So .. basically does anyone have a way to get blurays working on the FW31M ? I understanad this is a known issue ?

    Helpp !!!

    Johnn

Make sure that you are not using modded graphics drivers.
