    Hi guys.
Please help me. I' got a new VGN-FW375J laptop, it was cheap, but I would like to downgrade Vista Home to XP, and need drivers.
I have an original XP Disk but that does not installing. because first I need to download somewhere a driver to Blue-Ray disk driver, to unpack my XP disk and to incorporate there that driver and burn a new boot disk.
But the first a have to be sure that there are all driver for this laptop or it will be a waist of time.
    Thanks for any ideas.

Fn Keys, S1 button, and AV Mode keys don't work. Multimedia buttons still work but you may not get the OSD. VAIO Control Center doesn't work as it has full of reference to small programs that have nothing to do with FW. Power Management is not perfect as you can't assign brightness to the profile. Some options are listed twice.

Other than that, you get everything working. If you are willing to give up on that, feel free to install XP. I am running it right now as I am typing this message. Everything seems to fly in XP. Almost all programs load instantaneously. I definitely notice lots of improvement in speed. If only there is a way to make FW run perfect with XP :(

    Thanks for your replay.
But I decided to upgrade to Vista Business from Home then to install XP.
I would been too much complicated to find all drives.
By the way, where do you find all XP drives?

I was looking at this laptop (Sony VGN-FW375J) for work and wanted to know how you went about downgrading to windows XP. I have not purchased this so I have no experience playing around with the actual unit. We run Windows XP pro 32 bit and was worried about the 64 bit OS and the fact that it was Vista. I saw the link to "The Ultimate Squeaky Clean Install Instruction for SZ3xx with Win XP" but since the model number isn't the same, I wasn't sure if it would work. I would like to dual boot the machine if possible. Thanks in advance for the help.
