    Hello,

I have been looking at these two notebooks; the VGN-FZ290 and VGN-AR670.

I want to game a little bit, and both come out to $1300 which is my budget (FZ is 1298.99 and the AR is 1299.99).

I know the FZ comes with the 8400M GT, with I think 512mb of ram? What card does the AR have? I can't find it anywhere on the Sony site as I am customizing it, and if it has a better card, then I would rather have that.

The games I will be playing are Medieval Total War II and Battlefield 2.

    Everything else is basic computing.

One thing to consider obviously is the size of the notebook. Is it a notebook that you want to be easily mobile? From what I have read the AR is best when you mostly as a desktop replacement because of it's size and weight.

Either one I am fine with.

I do not mind a 17" or a 15", and the weight is no issue to me. It will be used mostly on a tabletop, or on my lap laying down on the couch.

If it was me I would go with the AR if you are not concerned about mobility. Remember it woud be over 8 lbs in your lap with the AR though. Someone might correct me if I am wrong, as it is hard to find specs on the configured to own notebooks on website, but I believe the AR has better graphics card.

Yeah, I would go with the AR, which was truly meant for gaming. FZ is a bit of mobility and graphics

I have seen a thread where the owner of the new FZ jam12 said there is a 8600 GT card in it, but I thought it was the 8400 GT?
