Hello everybody,
I really will apreciate some help regarding my graphic card drivers.
I have a Sony VGN-FZ38M (originnaly bought with vista) and I have installed windows 7 64bits
My graphics card is a NVIDIA 8400M GT, and I've tested a lot of drivers for this model but no one works.
tried both drivers on sony ( http://support.vaio.sony.eu) webiste but always same issue : "your system is not supported..."
does anyone encountred this problem?
Any solution or help to find the correct drivers for this card on windows 7?
Thx a lot
(sorry for my poor english :/)

Hi, I have the same laptop. As for the gfx drivers, you need a modified inf file.
Try these drivers:
http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/25306-v19107-windows-7vista-64bit-nvidia/
Download the drivers from there and also the "INF Modified".
1. Extract the driver package to some folder
2. Overwrite the original INF with the modified INF.
3. Install the drivers
That's it. Should work. -
That's what we call: One shot
My card is now recognized without problem.
thank you very much for your help dude. -
No problem, buddy ;-)

Does that driver still support the onscreen display of the brightness function keys? If not, Rajesh (aka Coolguy) has a thread here about a clean install of Win7 of FZ models and has full functionality of all function keys and on screen displays.

Sorry, I did not know about the guide. I managed to install W7 on my Vaio FZ on my own (with a help of the clean Vista installation guide). The OSD and the brightness function keys work fine with these drivers.
