    VGN-G1AAPS Keyboard FN keys

    I did a clean reload of Win XP Pro on a Sony Vaio Type G VGN-G1AAPS and install all the drivers (that is including SonyNC and SonyPI)
    I can't seem to get the Function keys for brightness settings to work.
    Neither does it adjust the brightness it does not display the onscreen bars however the volume controls do work but still not an onscreen meter bar.

    Could someone point out what exactly am I doing wrong or what I need in order to fix this problem?

    This thread discusses a similar problem.

    You probably need to install some of the applications as well as the drivers. The complete set is here (G11 is essentially the same as G1).
