This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     VGN-G21VN/B S1-S2 Problem

    Hi everyone.
    I have a problem with this laptop: I can't get the S1 S2 keys to work.

    Facts:
    - I installed Windows 7, following the guides here (but using drivers for my model).
    - Other keys (FN + ...) works correctly (sound muting, volume +-, brightness, external display, zoom....).
    - To run the various sony utilities (Vaio Control Center, Setting Utility Series, Battery Care) in Admin Mode (UAC Prompt).

    No matter which settings I change for S1, S2 they are simply ignored, but still appear in the config applications.

    Thanks in advance for any reply. I am checking if the other utils settings work.

    EDIT: the same is true for other utils too (example: Action when opening the lid when the notebook is in sleep mode)
