Hey guys, I'm trying to upgrade from Vista --> XP

I'm not happy with the OS and want to install Windows XP Media Edition. The boot order has the disc load first, and after the setup loads its files it comes to a screen that says there is no hard drives.

I went to sony's driver support and downloaded all the XP drivers, I'm ready to go, I just need to get the hard drive to be recognized for the installation.
I'm not an advanced user, more of an above average. So please explain your steps for a noob :p

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok so i looked down the screen saw the 12 page post. I followed the steps, i think, but even with my new boot dvd it still comes up with no hard drives.

I extracted the xp drivers (downloaded file INDOTH-12766700-XP) for the hard drive and used nLite to add "Intel® 82801 SATA AHCI Driver for Microsoft® Windows® XP Operating System" as that was the title of the driver listed on the page for my model. I didn't install the other drivers, but there was ~15, should I just install them all? I'm bouncing through this like a pinball machine, need some help please :)
