when i turn my laptop off, or put it to sleep, and restart/awaken it, it takes about 2 min. for the wireless modem to connect to the internet. the problem is not a weak signal, the router is 10 ft. away. i've tried 2 different routers, and it's the same for both. also, my old Compaq laptop connected instantly, with the same modem and router.
