Hi. I am new to the forum. I just got this laptop in December and am having trouble with my CD/DVD drive. While reading a CD (not a DVD that I have noticed), the drive will noticeably slow down and sometimes seem to stop all together while reading a disk. This usually produces a read error but not all of the time. I have tried multiple disks and OS's. It does it in Vista and Windows 7. It also does it while booting to a CD. I run a Ubuntu Live CD occasionally. I suspect a drive failure because it does it while booting off of a CD also but maybe I am overlooking something.

Any help that any of you can give me would be much appreciated.
