This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     as you can see by my post count i'm a new guy. i have also never really thought of upgrading my cpu untill now. it still runs just fine, but i'm wondering if i can tweek it a bit and get more out of it. i figure i would upgrade the 4 gigs of ram, and i'd like to upgrade the harddrive. my only concern with that is how i would retain the operating system if i upgrade the harddrive. or and i can take out the dvd drive and add a second hard drive. i will continue to research this but any info you guys might be able to give me would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
