    Hi,
When I hibernate my laptop, the next day when I turn it on again,
about one third of the screen is grayed out in the center. I was so
scared and restarted it, and then it was okay again. Happened two
times now, since last december 2004. Is it something wrong with the
pixels in the screen? Like, are they burning out or something?
I want to make sure its okay while Im still under warranty.

    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks!!

Hibernation has a lot of problems for many machines...I'd bet if you just use Sleep you won't see issues like this. There was a lengthy thread a while back about the problems with Bibernation, try a search and see if you can dig it up.

this has only happened to me once, but not during hybernation. It happened right after a full systems restore after I installed my video drivers. It went away at once. I really think it has something to do with the video drivers. Try reinstalling them.
