Sorry for al newbie questions but Im trying to get Vista onto the SV1VP Iv eowned for a year.

All installs great and have added all drivers in as per Uk Sony site for Vista. Now several issues I cant get around:

    1) How do you update the Bios? Normally in teh past it would run an installation prog but the .exe just opens to command screen then closes again without a prmopt

    2) FN keys not working - invaluable as these control everything pretty much: brightness, sound, screen switching.

    3) Bluetooth - can't switch it off using the icon bottom right of screen...it doesnt even register as being on (even tho the led shines). I want to be able to swithc off to conserve power

Ive submitted my request to Sony support but I imagine they weill be pretty useless.

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck - seems like a comon problem.
