Hello all, I have installed Windows 7 Build 7057, and I have almost everything working. The only things I can't get to work are the brightness controls on the keyboard and SmartWi. I installed the drivers and software from a post I found in here and it was very helpful, but I can't find a solution to these issues after searching these forums and on google. When I find a SmartWi on sony's website from a 64bit computer it states that it was not designed for my computer. When I try to run the SmartWi for my computer I keep getting .net errors and it force closes. I can switch the wireless on and off using the switch, but I can't get the bluetooth adaptor to come on at all. I do not have any devices in device manager that don't have drivers. The volume keys on the keyboard do work, and it doesn't matter if I have UAC turned off or on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not to hijack your post / thread because I know your OS is different. I installed Vista Business 64 bit. My model SZ691 shipped with Vista Business 32 bit. I got everything working but what you mentioned. I have searched high and low for answers. I can control the brightness through control panel but the FN keys don't work for anything but volume.? I am wondering if it is a 64 bit problem where Sony has not provided drivers? Both Vista 64 and Windows 7 (assuming you are talking 64 bit) are about the same install.

I've just installed 64 bit Windows 7 Release Candidate 1 (RC1) on my VGN-SZ660N. I also cannot get SmartWi to work correctly. It also throws .NET errors.

The good news, if I can just get the device powered on is that the internal Novatel WWAN card *does* have a 64 bit driver.
