This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     IT'd be rather pointless, but yes, you could upgrade the 1.8in HD to solid state

    could you elaborate on as to why it would be pointless?

    some of immediate benefits i could think are..

    -improved battery life
    -noise reduction
    -speed

    another question..

    Do TX and TZ both have Ultra ATA interface? Not Serial ATA?

    The SSD that comes with an ordered TZ is a 1.8" ZIF drive, the HDDs are 2.5" SATA and the DVD is connected internally via USB.

    I have no idea what the TX uses.
