I have a VGN-TX3HP/W that I need to replace the hard drive on, Could anyone point me in the direction of some instructions. Also what type of drive would be best.
    Thanks in advance.

    You'll need...

    - UATA 1.8'' hard drive
    - recovery discs
    - Something to back up you data with.

Or alternatively you can get software which clone an image of your had drive, so you dont need to re-install and the software after installing you new hard drive.

Also, to ensure you are purchasing the correct type of hard drive, acquire the serial number of you current one (right click my computer > properties > hardware tab > device manager > disc drives) . Type it into google, and it should provide you with all the details of your current hdd. Just make sure you dont buy a 2.5'' or a SATA hard drive...

Look up the HDD model number in Device Manager. You can then use this list at span.com to identify the connector type and then see what is compatible.

I'm sure the instructions for getting into your TX will be here somewhere. Is this thread about putting an SSD into a TZ useful?
