    VGN-TZ21VN_X external display - PLEASE HELP

    I have the above laptop with its docking station, and an external screen plugged in. If I do FN+F7 to switch to the external monitor it uses some low resolution. I can increase it but the next time I switch back to the monitor it NEVER REMEMBERS.

    PLEASE help!

    HOW do you make these things remember what resolution an external display uses?

    Not sure but I wonder whether the gpu 'secondary screen' settings are also applicable for ext screen ..if yes, under 'duplicate desktop settings' in the gpu control center (or setup wizard), it should remember the resolution of the ext. screen once you conect to it. This implies using the ext screen as secondary screen and not through activation of FN+ext screen mode.
