Can anyone tell me please what is the hard drive's model for the Vaio VGN-TZ295N/XC or VGN-TZ298N/XC? I know it is a PATA drive and not a SATA drive and as I have a Vaio VGN-TXN27N I 'm looking to see if I can use that hard drive on my Vaio.

    Thank you in advance!

Thanks for the link mobytoby! Wow, this drive is for more than 1000$, killed me :) I can't give at the moment more than 400$, any other possible links from different stores? (Preferably in the U.S. but not limited to...)

maybe dvnation or discounTechnology.com can order it for you.
MOst shops I know are jp.
dvnation has a cheaper alternative, MCCOE64GEMPP-01A, but that one needs special brackets which you can order from any sony parts center, such as nexttronics

Thanks mobytony! When you say I will need special brackets is that because the hard drive is not as thick as the original part???
