The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     VGN-Z31WN/B Bios on external Screen?

    My good old Z31WN's Screen fell victim to my 1year old. Since the replacement screen would cost $500 I opted to use it as a desktop with external display and keyboard.

    however I had disabled all wake on XXX stuff in the BIOS (had a hacked BIOS) and now I cant wake it from sleep without opening the lid which is quite inpractical for a desktop.

    is there a way to get the bios on the external screen? via VGA? or with the docking station (I could borrow one)?
