I couldn't find any solution. Video output works great but the sound is coming from Vaio, not TV (Philips 42PFL8404H) and I can't change it:

"Not plugged in" - but it IS plugged.

I'm running Win 7 Pro x64 with all drivers installed (eveything seems to work fine).

    Please give me a hint.
    Thanks in advance

I have the same issue with a Samsung 42 inch that was manufactured in 2008 (don't know model # off the top of my head).

    I also have a z550n with Win 7 pro x64.

When I plug mine in, however, the "HDMI Output" doesn't even show up under "Playback" devices.

like dariusnaz said, could be the tv or it could be your hdmi cable (certain ones only do video, strange i know)

i have a Z550N as well, and i don't have any problems. The only difference i see is that my audio drivers are dated 7/13/2009 version 6.1.7600.16385

    could try updating

Hi did you guys fix this?

    I have the same issue.

Laptop HDMI connected to TV HDMI via HDMI cable...

All it says is No Signal.... but a few months before it worked when ever I put cable in.

I got a new cable today so I can rule out faulty HDMI cable...
I have a DELL STUDIO 17 with anATI 3650 (latest catalyst drivers 10.4)
Also I have the latest IDT sound drivers and latest HDMI Audio codec from Microsoft.

    help

    thanks
