    Hi,

I left my VAIO VGN-Z850G in sleep mode overnight (with the AC adaptor plugged in). In the morning I tried to wake it up, but I got only a black screen with white stripes on and no response. I had to shut it down holding the power button for few seconds. After that I couldn't power the notebook on.

I tried the Sony's site instructions - taking out the battery and AC power for few minutes etc. After I plug back the AC power with the battery it charges the battery for few seconds. When I try to turn it on, only the DVD led flashes and then the notebook goes off again (even the power button doesn't turn green, nor orange). This comes only once after full disconnection of all power supplies. Next tries don't produce anything.

I tried to reconnect only the AC Adaptor as well - again DVD led on for few seconds and nothing else. Same result when trying with the battery alone.

The "funniest" thing is that the notebook is bought in the US (a month ago) and used in Europe, so that any warranty claims are quite a tough thing to do.

    Any suggestions?
