Hi....I have noticed that when I close the lid of my laptop (when its switched on) while in windows, and the volume is high up I seem to get a very high pitched noise whcih keeps going on like 'toooooo'.....

While, if I switch on and before windows is loaded, I close the lid it doesnt make any such noises...

When I mute the mic in the laptop and shut the lid in windows, then there is no such noise either...and theres no noise either if i have volume at 7 out of 10 levels.

So I guess this is not hardware related....but at the sametime I thought mic shudnt be affected whether or not the lid is closed.....its just really bizzare....I've used IBM laptops and none make such a noise when in windows =/...

    I hope I am clear.

Have you ever put a microphone near the stero speaker? Like when in a party or karaoke?
I think it's the same thing.

I'm not sure where I see the issue here...what you're hearing is the feedback from the speakers to the mic. You should mute the mic if you wanna close the lid.

Hi Neoguri...I just found it unusual....cos no other brands do that...but anyhow...putting windows sounds scheme to No Sounds seems to have fixed the issue.
