My laptop currently freezes about 4 or 5 times a week. I have taken it to bestbuy to have them look at it, since it was free, but they found no problems. I have re-installed the OS and done ramtests (best buy did one as well). I am convinced that the problem is hardware based, especially because of problems before and after reinstalling Vista.

There are quite a few questions that i have for fellow vgnnr110e owners, computer geniuses, and anyone who feels like answering:
    1. Should the graphics card have a fan? (because i don't think i have one that is working)
    2. What are the acpi sensors reading? (they seem to be high after i reboot from a freeze)
    3. Why might my computer be overheating in an "acceptable environment" (according to sony) p.s. uhh >.> plz could a mod fix the name of the thread

It's very viable that your laptop could be overheating. In that case, you can refit your CPU with Arctic Silver, and/or use a cooling pad. If it still happens, the laptop needs to be serviced, and the part that's overheating needs to be swapped out.

Right now i have my laptop propped up on something to help with cooling, but it still overheats. I have used Speed Fan to check the temperatures of the cpu even up to the point of freezing and those weren't too high, so i think that it may be the graphics (two acpi temps are very hot on speed fan).

I have the same laptop and I used to have the same problem.
But the freezing issue has been solved after upgrading my RAM to 2.5 GB.
