This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     VIAO/VGN-S460P DVD does not run Window Media? HELP!

    I reinstalled window XP on my sony VIAO VGN-S460P. After installing XP,
    I go to SOny website install all the required component including
    Ma****a DVD driver. I have problem playing DVD movie or avi files.
    I do not have recovery CD.

    Can any one help? Thanks
