    My model is VPCS111FM

my laptop wont start up the power light flashes like (it was in sleep mode), but its green but very dim, then it goes bright green (like normal power color) I can see it checking the cap locks, num lock and all flash quickly (like its checking them (for a boot up), then the green light goes off and it starts all over again.

Tried removing the RAM and installing them like 1 at a time (to see if there is one bad RAM chip). I have tried it with just the battery and just the power cord, taken out the battery and tried just the power cord. There is nothing hooked up to the laptop either.

The more I am looking at the problem is it is in sleep mode, but instead of the power light flashing yellow its flashing green. I can hold the power button for like 10 sec and the lap top will turn off, and when I press it again (to turn on), it looks like it wants to start, but the light is dim, and goes to full bright , and then the cap locks light flashes on and then it the cycle repeats, almost like there is a problem and the laptop is trying to re start...

Ok....I had the laptop sitting on my table and all of a sudden it just turned on. Has been working fine for the last week. The cord was not plugged in (stupid vacuum), and when I plugged it in the same thing is happening again. When it happened the last time, it sat on the charger for like 4 days...so I am wondering if its getting quasi charged...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turn it off, plug in the power, and does the charging light blink? Does the mobo beep when you try to turn it on?

Is it still in warranty? Take it to Sony if it is...

There might be something awaking your laptop from sleep?

What are your power options set to?

Is hybrid sleep off? Maybe try turning off allow wake timers in your power settings.

Turn it off, plug in the power, and does the charging light blink? Does the mobo beep when you try to turn it on? The charge light doesnt light up until I plug in power and try to turn it on. No beeping at all...looks like it wants to start but then recycles to off.

There might be something awaking your laptop from sleep? I actually think its something keeping the laptop (or putting it back in sleep), from waking up. The orange light never comes on, it goes straight to the green light.
You can actually look at it and the green light starts dim green for a split second. The the green light goes bright green (and thats when the caps lock, number lock, scroll lock), all blink for a quick second, and then it all recycles.

I know my power options are set to high performance, but think when the lid is closed it goes to sleep, and normally the orange light will cycle blink. Normally when its asleep, the orange light is blinking to show its in sleep. I close my lid now and the green light is doing it, but just a dim green light for a quick second, then it goes to a bright light.
I dont know if its in hbryd sleep. Is there a way through keyboard strokes that I can get it out of sleep?

    Thanks guys for the help!!
