I had flash teh advance BIOS on my VPC-Z and I just realize that since i flash it VAIO care doesn't work it opens and it gives the error "An unexpected error occurred. Please restart the program." and i noticed that there is no service tag and SN and like so in the left corner so I think that's why it gives this error but what can I do to make it work without reflashing the original BIOS?I want to keep the advance BIOS on my notebook.Has anyone encounter such kind of error?

It wasn't hard at all just that i didn't succeeded from the first time because I tried to use someone else BIOS but I followed the tutorial from advance BIOS and made a flash by myself and worked like a charm :D the only problem is that now VAIO care doesn't recognize my S/N service tag and stuff even if in bios the S/N didn't change :(

I think you corrupted your SN and stuff in the BIOS flash. Go to bios, first page and make a photo, upload it here. If SN and model number are empty, you should revert back to original BIOS and properly reflash the hacked one. I can't imagine how you managed to flash the hacked BIOS and your laptop works but you have partly corrupted the image before. I guess you are lucky.

Do you need Vaio Care? I don't find anything in there useful, but rather, annoying and detrimental, as they want you to defrag your SSDs...

As us engineers would say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" (CS add-on: "but hack it, mod it, and squeeze every ounce of performance from it")

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Vaio care app to see if the problem is corrected.

Yes i had already done even with fresh OS installed the same problem

    Achusaysblessyou:
Yes here you are perfectly right I don't use it to much but sometimes i prefered a lite weight optimizer and I used a lot the registry cleaner I realy don't know if it's more accurate than any others from the market but it's more trustful :p
