    Hi guys,

I recently posted this question in the "Official Sony VAIO Z Owners" thread, but I think it will get overlooked there so I hope the moderators here don't mind be posting it as a new thread. I'm not being impatient, I just think it's going to get missed there...

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I had the VPC-Z previously and returned it for a few reasons, the main being that the backlit keys were a real oil magnet (they had a rubbery feel to them, and literally picked up every bit of oil).

SonyStyle allows custom configuration to choose either a 'standard keyboard' or the 'backlit' one, and I'm planning on reordering the Z again.

I would really appreciate it if any VPC-Z owner here has the standard keyboard (non-backlit) and could post a close-up picture of their keys, or just confirm that they don't have a rubbery feel but have a plasticy feel (like the previous generated VGN-Z).

I would really appreciate any help before I commit to buying it again.

I did try to call SonyStyle but they couldn't answer this question (annoyingly...)

I have both Z's and agree that the new gen is a fingerprint magnet. This is the first time I've heard the keys on the Z1's are rubbery.

    Fingerprint-prone, yes. Rubbery, no.
