    Hi there,

Hope someone might be able to help me with this problem.

For the past 24 hours, my Z1 has started randomly crashing, usually after between 10 seconds - 10 minutes of usage from Windows 7 loading the desktop:
    - screen goes blank (occasionally I've had an animated moving coloured pattern on the screen / normally completely blank)
    - CPU fan drops to quiet
    - HD light stops flashing
    - Power stays on

I force the power off, but then can't turn on again until I've removed the battery briefly.

    I've checked:
    1. Memory diagnostics - no problem
    2. Chkdisk - ran twice. Crashed with same issue during first run. Second time found minor problems, but all solved now.
    3. Checked CPU temperatures - all seem normal ~80'c.
    4. Removed all start up programs / third party services

I initially thought it must be a Windows software issue, but as it actually occurred *during* chkdisk the first time (running during startup, so minimal Windows stuff loaded), I'm less sure now.

Can't find the exact issue anywhere online - any ideas anyone?
