    Hello,

    I have a VPC-Z11Z9E it has an i7 620m CPU.
When idling it hard to get under 50°c for the CPU.
And when playing CPU get awful temps...

    here it is
    [IMG]

I have been playing UT3 max details at 1366x768 resolution against 7 other bots, for only 10 minute.

Is that normal ? Does your i7 reach such temps ?
What are the temps of an i5 when playing recent games ?

    Thanks for help.

Idle seems a hair high perhaps but nothing else looks out of whack to me.

without the GT 330M, when idling I get 46°C - 49°C for the CPU, it probably looks more normal..
    Thanks !

Naah theese temps aren't THAT high... nothing to worry about.

Ofcourse.. it's always better to have a cooling pad under your laptop... but don't be worried with these temps..

High temperatures under high load is normal for high-end notebooks. (Which is why they're now called notebooks and not laptops -- if you toast the family jewels, the manufacturers don't want to be held responsible.)

    Those temps are fine.
Remember your ambient temp is prob. different that others.
ALl that matters is load temp and you didn't break 92, your GPU temp is pretty low too. I get 86 under load with a modest overclock.

Yeah, these temps are normal for me, especially while gaming. The temps don't go up slowly, as soon as I start something cpu/gpu intense the temps immediately jump up, so it wouldn't matter if i was playing for 1 minute or 10, my temps would be just as high.
