This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Looks like their online-store price is a little lower than their ebay-store price. I have it bookmarked... i must try to resist....

    Sorry i don't get the AOL version joke... :(. Is your screen broken or you looking to mod your screen to 1080P?

    sorry :). Somebody further above said AOL (supposed to be AUO as an alternate brand). AOL is America Online which is a famous ISP in the 90's when we use dial-up/faxmodem (we all lovingly make fun of AOL users and people with an AOL email address!). I'm just thinking of modding my screen. I've taken apart the laptop a few times (easy) but am afraid as I have not taken apart the top/screen section yet. The 1080p screen sounds delicious. :)

    Haha, I know what AOL is. Sad they aren't around anymore. I think I heard on NPR that they still have like 5 million subscribers. Pretty amazing.

    I see that there is another seller that is selling it for $30 less on ebay now. It's good that there are cheaper options.
