    Hello,

I have had several revisions of the Z1 and have foung that the 512 is the slowest to post and boot. The 256 model was the fastest with the 128 right behind it.

So my question is, can this process be accelerated?

    Thanks in advance!

I suppose you've already done the usual stuff like disabling all unnecessary boot options, especially network and USB boot? If not, then that's your first port of call.

I swapped my 2 x 128Gb Tosh. to RealSSD 2x256gb and boot up time less than 20 seconds. Maybe you should check on the SSD that came with the laptop.

I think its the Toshibas posting slow as I also previously had the same drives you have on another Z I owned.

The performance is comparable to the C300's when booted, but I have never heard of fast operating but slow posting drive/s before :)
