For anyone who have seen, or own a Z2, could you tell me how does the Z21 1920x1080 monitor looks like please ?

Is it still the same premium LCD ? Which people says it has high color accuracy, and nice contrast ?

Because I didn't notice sony mentioning that it is a premium display etc with the high aRGB coverage like they did with VPC-Z1..

Although I've read several times that Z1 has a great color accuracy compared to any other laptop. I really hope that the Z2 has better colors than Z1 which looks way too flashy and fluorescent. It looks unnatural.
For example I dislike red and especially light green colors of my Z1, it's beautiful but some images looks completely unnatural compared to my calibrated Dell U2311H and to what I see outside.. I once thought my camera was crappy lol.. but it wasn't.

To me, it looks exactly the same as Z1

If I recall correctly there was only one manufacturer of 1080p 13" screen (Toshiba) - as there are still no other 1080p 13" laptops over there, I'd assume it is still the same vendor as there is no choice.

Thanks, still good to know that quality shouldn't have decreased... unlike the apocalyptic VAIO SA/SB

It might just be me, but my Z2's 1080p display seems to be a tad less over saturated than my Z1's. Reds/Blues - Never really had an issue with greens.

good to hear :) because I don't really like the over saturation of my Z1...

Maybe it's not always noticeable with green, though I noticed on the three different FHD monitor my VPC-Z1 had [(X____X) I pray every night for the god of the warranties]
Once I took pictures into a beautiful greenhouse in Paris with tropical vegetation... it really looked bad and unnatural because of the over saturation.

Comparing the Z2 and Z1 screens side by side, the Z2 looks veryyy yellowish when displaying website with a white background, not nessarily bad tho coz it makes colors more warm so (at least my eyes) feel less strained. That's my initial impression atm.

Saw it yesterday , a collegue has the 1080p screen. Compared to my VGN Z (1600x900) is looked as if it is bit more glossy, but still very sharp and beautiful.

Agreed. The Z2 is very yellow. I have heard (whether or not this is true) that an LCD screen always shows with a more yellow hue at the beginning, and over time, it heads more towards blue. This could be completely wrong, but I have seen the same phenomenon with every new iPhone I have bought. Always very yellow when first used. Later on it gets a more gorgeous buish white hue. I have Z series sitting right next to the Z2 right now and the Z2 is a very stale yellow color.

Im a little bummed because the keyboard backlighting is also very stale yellow. Its not a nice LED white/blue like I hoped. I will never understand why these companies continue to fail to produce more contemporary lighting on their stuff.

Agree. Tho TBH although white backlighting looks cooler, yellow looks more comfortable and is just as usable.
