On newegg it says that FX/B has 512 MB dedicated video memory with Nvidia geforce gt 330M

    Newegg.com - SONY VAIO CW Series VPCCW27FX/B NoteBook Intel Core i5 520M(2.40GHz) 14" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm BD Combo NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M

How can GX/S have 1 GB dedicated video memory with the same graphics card?

    Newegg.com - SONY VAIO Z Series VPCZ112GX/S NoteBook Intel Core i5 520M(2.40GHz) 13.1" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 128GB SSD HDD DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M + Intel GMA HD

Also would it be worth it to pay $500 extra for GX/S to play high end games like crysis?

The GPU has nothing to do with the amount of memory - it is handled by a memory controller and it mounted externally to the GPU itself. For high resolutions, antialiasing, etc, more memory will help. Crysis would likely benefit a little from 1GB at 1600x900 but the gpu's processing power would be much more limiting.

The big thing about the Sony Z's is they can switch between on gpu built into the core i cpu's and the dedicated video (330M). You will see some 80% battery runtime increase stock, using the Intel graphics rather than the nVidia.

Unless you need 5+ hours of battery life (I think the Z can be tweaked up to some 7-8 hours max), the CW should do what you need with little to no difference in gaming performance.
