Hi,

I have my sony f series for few months now. What really bothers me sometimes, without any reasons, my keyboard gets locked, i cant type anything. so I need to restart my laptop. and suddenly my keyboard works as usual.. any help? thanks so much.

Are you sure it's that the keyboard is locking, and not that windows are all going into the background? In other words, when the keyboard locks, try clicking on the window you were typing in and see if it brings it back into the foreground and allows you to keep typing for a few minutes.

If that's the problem, then the issue is Vaio Smart Network freaking out because you haven't set up a profile. See this thread for details:

umm.. everything is fine. I still can move the me mouse and click anything on window. but i just cant type, everytime i type it will come out something like folder, or toolbars..
